Screen switch

I'm trying to get my screen to shift from vertical to horizontal. I notice that there is a lock with an arrow around it next to the battery, can someone help out with this issue?

I tried going to settings to fix, but the problem still exist.

Double-click the Home button, then flick the bottom of the screen from left to right. Look for the button on the left with the circular arrow and tap it. Each tap toggles orientation lock off and on.
