Safari crashes often

Safari is crashing often and goes back to Springboard. I am on iOS 6.1 JB iPhone4. I have not noticed anything else that seems off. Wondering if anybody has had this same sort of thing happen to them. And what was the culprit. My wife's iPhone 4S on 6.1.2 JB is doing the same thing. My ipad 2 on 6.1.2 JB is also behaving the same. Other browsers work fine. I have taken to using Chrome much more often.
