Problem with contacts from outlook UK area code

Here's the thing.
All my contacts on my PC are stored with phone numbers like +44 0207 xxx xxxx where the first "0" is not used when dialing from abroad. My blackberry has learnt this but not my Iphone4. I could perhaps go into all the contacts and put a bracket () around the 0 but that will take me ages... any thoughts? merci.

well either just put the 0044 or +44 both should work fine... i use +44 on my iphone 4 and it works and i have used 00 44 when making calls to the uk and again it works or saved in my contacts

its not the 00 before the country code but the area code 0 (as in 0207)

ah well the area code you would drop the first 0 if our out of the uk and dial into the uk for example your 0207 would become +44 207....
