Photos App - Display Photos

When I open the Photos App, select an album and enlarge the 1st photo, the date and time the photo was taken is display at the top and thumbnails are displayed at the bottom of the screen.

Unfortunately they both clip the top and bottom of the photo.

If I tap the white beside the border they disappear until I tap the white again.

Is there anything configurable that will stop those from displaying?

That's not possible.

Btw: You can tap anywhere on the screen to make them disappear, and, of course, reappear.

You can't permanently stop that info from appearing again when you tap the photo. If you were able to do so, you couldn't edit, share, or delete your photos.
