Lately I have been working hard trying to work up to run 5K without stopping. Well, being that I know little of the metric system, I decided to find out the exact imperial equivalent of a 5K run.

A 5K run works out to approximately 3.107 U.S. miles. My last two runs have been 3.48 and 3.54 U.S. miles, respectively.. and I was barely breathing hard after each run.

Do you see what I see? I've already run the equivalent of a 5K race without realizing it!

Ah, ignorance is bliss :)

You are likely already aware of this, but just in case: I was once talking to a marathon runner. He told me that iron supplements are important due to the red blood cells being destroyed during long haul runs.

Yeah, I've been taking lots of supplements. Protein powder is also a necessity.
