I just learned that I can control iTunes on my Mac from my iPhone while sitting across the room. The free Remote app from Apple is awesome!

Been using that capability for some time. You can also use it for controlling iTunes on a PC, and AppleTV.

I generally have Remote running on my iPhone to control iTunes, and the Yamaha control app running on my iPad to control my home theatre.
