Even though iOS jailbreaking is not an illegal action, seems like a lot are avoiding it. But as for some articles, I've been reading no matter how flexible the manufacturers with the latest iOS releases jailbreak is necessary. Is there any truth behind this? I like to know why I should or shouldn't jailbreak my iPhone.

I've moved your thread to the iPhone Jailbreaking Forum where it will attract more attention.

It’s not necessary to jailbreak your device. Whether or not you do it, is your own decision. There are a few things you might want to consider when you jailbreak your iDevice.

- jailbroken devices tend to get stability issues
- you void your warranty
- many of the features from former jailbreak tweaks or apps appear in iOS updates
- it’s possible that you brick your iPhone/iPad
- your device is open to malware, spyware and viruses; that’s not possible with a stock iDevice

On the other hand, there are useful tweaks that allow customizing your device exactly the way you want it.
