Hi
I am chewing up a lot of data on my Verizon cell phone plan for some reason. you know how some people post videos on Facebook? I have saved some of them. do you think that could be causing me to chewing up my data plan or do you think it could be something else? Thank you for any help with this .

Facebook is a known data hog and uses way too much data while running in the background. You can curtail this by force closing the app whenever you're not actively using it. To do so, swipe up from the bottom of the screen with four fingers or double click the home button. Then swipe ip on the Facebook thumbnail so it disappears from the screen. This will prevent any background data use that's chewing up your data plan.

One of the best ways to curtail the excessive data and battery usage by the FaceBook app is to delete it and use the FaceBook website instead. You can create a home screen bookmark that will open the website just as fast as opening the app without having to open Safari.
