Battery health not accurate

The battery health on my iphone 6 hasn't changed from 95% for over 5 years, despite the fact that I have to charge it way more frequently now; and since the last update, once it reaches 40%, it drains very, very quickly. I don't think the battery health percentage it shows can possibly be accurate, so I'm not sure whether or not to replace the battery. I've been waiting for it to show 80% before doing so. Any thoughts?

Yes, it is. However, I am a very light user - mostly messaging, a little web surfing, and the occasional half hour of streaming.

If you can get to an Apple store, they will run a free battery check for you.

Thank you. I will do so. I'm thinking that if I do need a new battery, it might be worthwhile going for a new phone. I really like the size of the 6 as well as the home button, so maybe an SE 3rd gen, despite its apparent shortcomings.
