Alarm no sound

I set my as normal full sound, but the last few times it has not gone off to remind.
I get the flashing light but that does not wake or remind me of an appointment.
I have done a black screen reset. Oh by the way the light does not flash now. Any ideas!! Or help you can give me.

Is the mute switch on the side of the phone set to mute?

Hi thanks for your suggestion, had iPhones too long to fall for that one. Did some Google checks and reset some settings in Sound, that fixed it.
For the light, something to do with Haptics, still trying that. It works on some settings but not Alarm.
Ideas?
