My wife has a 4S iphone that she quit using. The plan was to use it for music storage, and some of the myriad apps that you can use around the house.
The phone fell behind our dresser, and she lost it for several months. Yesterday she recharged it, and it apparently updated itself as well.
This phone never had a screen lock before (or rather, she never used it, and never set a pass code). Now, the screen lock appears, and isn't set to a pass code that we use.
We took it to Verizon (where we originally purchased it), and they said: "yes, we've seen this happen", and "no, there is no work around".
Short of restoring factory default settings (and losing stuff not backed up on the phone) is there a solution?
Thanks,
G.
