The Yahoo! Search Blog has today announced two brand new initiatives from Yahoo! to help you find iOS apps more easily. As Yahoo! says, with over 425,000 available apps in the App Store, it’s not easy picking your way through the good, the great, and the groan-worthy. Which is where Yahoo! Search comes in, with its Y! AppSpot app and Yahoo! App Search for PC.

Y! AppSpot is a mobile search app for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch, which features daily personal picks. Rather than have a “Top Apps” list which has the same apps every day, AppSpot has new, personalised app suggestions on a daily basis. Yahoo! Search says that the app will also have more precise results, thanks to Yahoo!’s sophisticated search technology, as well as a “more apps you’ll love” section to help you find similar apps. You can also use the app to easily download the apps you want via direct links to the specific app pages in the App Store.

Yahoo! App Search is not an app, but rather a dedicated PC search engine, complete with Free Apps, Paid Apps and Highest Rated Apps charts, that you can find by clicking here: Yahoo! App Search Looks very impressive indeed.
