Wattsapp messages have a picture icon next to all of them, need to disable this please

Hello, hopefully an easy fix, after hsing the status option to share an image, all my wattsapp messages have a picture icon next to them

, need to disable this, but cant see how have an iphone 7plus

In WhatsApp (the app itself) go to Settings. Select “Account” - Privacy - Profile Photo, and choose “Nobody” to get rid of profile pictures.

That just stops others seeing my profile picture, that isn’t the problem, if you look at the image, every message has the persons contact profile picture next to it. It seems from further research this is a new feature being rolled out by wattsapp, I hate it, makes it all cluttered, I can sertraline who the message is from by the name, I don’t mind what they do, so long as they put an off switch for their ideas…..so looks like there’s not much I can do…
