My iPhone 3gs has become water damaged. I have dried it out using the usual methods. It tries to reload the software via iTunes but stalls at fault 29 when the firmware is being installed/verified. It then goes into the re-boot loop. Have tried iRecovery to cure the problem but get this message on terminal ;

Hi, my iphone got water damaged too. It was only in water for 2-3 seconds. I dried it and began to check if everything worked. the only problems i found was that the camera would not zoom in and a message kept popping up saying "this accessory is not optimized for this phone". Other than that, everything seemed to work fine. wifi worked, texting worked, my music played just fine. Then i turned it off and it just turned itself back on. I used a blow dryer on it on cool and left it for about ten minutes, only after did i realize this wasnt the best thing i couldve done. i then put it in a bag of rice and it has been there for about an hour now. I am worried that the prblems will just get worse and worse. How long should i keep it in rice and is there anything else i should do? please help

the most tried and tested method seems to be to put the phone into a bag of dry rice for anything up to a week,only after that should it be turned on,this seems to have worked for a lot of people.
