MacRumors reports that Virgin Mobile USA has today announced that it is switching to an iPhone-only business model as of June 27. In a bid to attract new customers to its new iPhone-only service, it will be offering one whole year’s worth of unlimited talk, text, and data for just $1. You’ll also get Virgin Perks thrown into the deal, including flights and hotel stays.

The new unlimited Virgin Mobile USA iPhone plan, which is called the “Inner Circle,” will be available until July 31 to those customers who buy a new iPhone and then transfer their phone number to an Inner Circle plan.

When the first year of the plan is up, users can then switch to the regular $50-per-month plan.

There are some restrictions involved in the deal, including data throttling, being “deprioritized” after exceeding a set data cap, and also the threat of service termination following too much off-network roaming.

Inner Circle iPhones are available to pre-order from today, prior to shipping on June 27.
