Verizon iphone4 voicemail ring settings

My phone is ringing 7-8 times (approx. 30 seconds) before my voicemail answers the call. Is there anyway to change this to 2 rings? I'm missing many crucial calls. Thanks.

Mine has always rung 5 times before VM picks up, no matter what phone I had. Have you talked to Verizon? I would think the issue is on their end. I looked at the PDF for VM settings and there is nothing there for "ringer settings".

But, I would also say you must have some impatient callers. Most people know (most)cell phone users have VM and will wait out the rings!

It would seem like you'd have a better chance of catching a call with 7-8 rings vs. 2. Do your callers get bored after 2 rings and hang up without leaving a voicemail? :S?
