Using Keynote. MacBook Air 2017

Good day to all.
Keynote

I have a MacBook Air 2017

Not had it long, Trying to figure out how to use the Keynote app.

This is my question.. when I open the keynote app I go and select some of the folders that are in the photo app upon opening one of the folders all the images are greyed out, Can someone please assist me here.

I don't know Keynote on the MacBooks, but I'm sure someone can help with this
