Trouble sending etc.

I am having trouble sending email and texts everything just keeps saying sending even words with friends keeps saying updating games. Everything works fine on my ipad. I a. Using iPhone 4S
i have shut the phone and restarted but no help

Reset your network settings, then perform a hard reset of the device (not a reboot). Or you can also try opening up to your wifi connection in Settings, and renew the lease as well.

If this is an issue on data, eject your SIM, perform a hard reset, then insert your SIM again
