I think Siri has gone rogue; she's collecting fingerprints against the day we'll be able to close sales with Passport using TouchID.

And then just as my TouchID sets records for the longest period of perfect response and no sign of fading, we see Apple apparently is preparing a software fix for the very problem.

Indeed, my fading touch problem seems to have gone away as of the last update. TouchID has been working first-time every-time for weeks now.

So touch Id doesn't use up batterylife no more
