MacRumors reports that following on from the announcement last month that six small regional carriers in the US would be getting the iPhone, three more regional carriers have been announced today. All three carriers will be offering the iPhone 4S from May 18, and all of the networks are CDMA networks. The three networks in question are the delightfully named Bluegrass Cellular in Kentucky, Golden State Cellular in California, and Nex-Tech Wireless in Kansas. As with the previous six carriers, these three newly announced official iPhone regional carriers will be offering the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S for $50 cheaper than the standard price. This means that the iPhone 4S will cost $149/$249/$349 from any of the three carriers, and the iPhone 4 will cost $49. So far today only these three carriers have emerged as having the iPhone, but as MacRumors notes, the smaller carriers are not always the best at getting the word out to the masses, so there may well be more carriers announced as the day goes on, or it might be just these three after all!
