The best contacts manager in the app store!

Does this use iOS's native built-in contacts database or does it build its own independent database?

Unless it's using the iOS native contacts database it sure is NOT the "best" contacts manager for me. I need the built-in database so that changes sync via iCloud to my other iDevice.
