Saving text media for ring tones

I have had people send me ringtones thru text. How can I save that media to my phone so I can set it as a ringtone???

You can't. The people will have to send it to your email and you must convert the file into m4r using programs like Xilisoft. Once you convert you have to drag into iPhone from iTunes.

You could if you knew where the file was downloaded but you still have to sync a ringtone to create the folder that it will have to go into
