Save Headset Volume

Just finally upgraded to the iPhone 4s this past weekend and love it! Cant believe the difference from the 3gs. Anyways, is there some trick to keep the headset volume up? Everytime I answer or make a phone call using my headset the volume keeps reverting to the default setting so I have to manually turn it back up again. The higher volume is not saved for some reason. I never had this problem with my last phone so not sure what I'm missing.

After doing this about 2 dozen times, looks like the volume is finally staying at the last volume settings. So for now looks to be working correctly anyways.
