"Push" feature with Comcast email

Hello! I just picked up an iphone 4 this week. I have kept "push" on and "fetch" off to save battery life. The Apple folks explained that with "push" activated, emails should hit my iphone 4 as soon as they hit Comcast's server. That is not happening. I have to actually open up my inbox on the iphone 4 in order to bring in the new email.

Is anyone else having this same issue? How do I fix it?

Do you have your fetch set to 'manually'?

It needs to be set to something other than this.

Hi, yes I do have "fetch" set to 'manually.' I thought that if you had "push" on then it would still retrieve data regardless of the setting for "fetch?"

Not certain about that. I had made the same mistake when I first got my phone and instead of trying to understand I simply changed the setting and moved on.
I would think that the push notification would download the email bit perhaps it is just counting email headers instead of downloading.
