I have noticed that any photos stored in iCloud can't be deleted.
You can turn Photo Stream off, but if you turn it back on, the deleted photos come back, even if you delete your iCloud account, when you resign, the deleted photos come back.
So I guess, you have no control of your photos in iCloud.

Yeah, this has been discussed quite a bit lately. We're all hoping that the next update will allow deletion of individual photos. At the very worst, photos only stay 30 days and then they're cycled out. You're supposed to be able to reset your PhotoStream by going into iCloud and Advanced under your account options, but many (including myself) have had trouble with a server error when attempting that. It seems that your best chance at a reset is done in Safari, not IE. To see more on the discussions regarding PhotoStream, search the forum for PhotoStream.
