Please HELP!

I have an iphone 3gs, that is stuck on the flashing apple screen. Every time i plug it into the computer to restore, it gives me error 1604. Please HELP!

when i restart into itunes pressing power and home, it goes until i get error 1604 from itunes

The 1604 error can be related to the USB port you used. Have you tried a different USB port of a different cable? If you're using a third party cable, try an authentic Apple cable. Here' stage list of Apple error codes and their meanings. http://support.apple.com/kb/ts3694
