Apple’s annual iTunes Festival kicked off in London on July 1st with a concert by Paul Simon at the Roundhouse in Camden. The 31-night event features some of the biggest names in the world of music performing free concerts at the Roundhouse, including the likes of Adele, Linkin Park, Bruno Mars, Foo Fighters, Raphael Saadiq, Rumer, Katy B, Coldplay, and James Morrison, to name but a few of the very best of the 62 artists that will be performing. There are also smaller studio sessions by the likes of Gwyneth Paltrow. All pairs of tickets are free, but you can only obtain them by winning them in the prize draw. As you might expect, the whole event revolves around the iTunes Festival app for iPhone and iPad, which you can download for free from the App Store. Not only can you apply for tickets via the app, if you’re lucky enough to win you’ll also be notified via the app too (I’m still waiting!), and viewers around the world will also get to join in the fun by watching streaming videos of the performances via the app, as well as online. It really is a spectacular festival of music * - Apple rules Camden this July!
