Hello,

I had an Samsung S3 and was really happy about the led that produce a color for a specific notification. Facebook= blue, sms = green, email=yellow, missed call=red,….
I was thinking why not in a apple. So I thought by myself that the screen is full of led lights. Is there an app or can someone smart create a app that can do this when there is a notification. Something small, sub tile and discrete on the screen. Nice idea is a small snake in the notification color that moves on the black standby screen.
grts

I think the LED Indicator is originally come from Blackberry. Anyway, there's no LED on the iPhone, and if the notification is using the screen there's always timeout and the screen will be black again.

There is a tweak to make the camera flash blink when you get a notification, but you'd obviously need your phone face down for that.

Yes i know there is a led. But the color is white and will always be. So my thought was to use the multicolor screen even in standby or sleep.

Doesn't really make much sense, why would you want a colored snake to scroll across the screen instead of seeing the actual content of the notification?

Also no need to install a tweak to use LED notifications, that option is available in the stock iOS.
Settings>General>Accessibility>LED Flash for Alerts

I like Androids NoLED app. it lights up a pixel or two in the corner of the otherwise turned off screen. Colors can be set for various notifications. I think this is what the OP is talking about.

Here are two different setups from NoLED...

I wish the iPhone would have an led indicator. I hope iPhone 6 will get it!!

I want this on iOS sooo bad!!! I really can't believe no one has made this.

I still don't understand why you would want this, seems like dated functionality. iOS displays the actual content of notifications, why would you want this over that?

Bc I don't wanna hit the unlock button or home button to wake it up to look at my lock screen for notifications. I'd rather look at my phone and see something flashing.

Already mentioned by others. It is interesting to know if you got something without the screen must stay on all the time with the notification.
If i didn't want it i would n' ask it. :)

Even if this tweak existed, you would have to disable auto-lock on the phone so the screen never shuts off, it would be a major battery killer. Guessing you're gonna have to make this yourself if you want it, doesn't seem like there would be a lot of demand for it.

On the android system auto lock works just fine. The phone goes to sleep, stays locked until a new notification is available. Then there is a feature inside the app that allows you to let the icon stay on the screen for X amount of time then relics the phone and sleep. I've used this app on android and really liked it and wasn't a major battery killer unless you left the icon stay on the screen for a long time.
