no WiFi for my locked 3gs?

I have Iphone 3gs locked to vodafone (uk)
right now I'm on a business trip to spain and my phone doesn't receive any WiFi signal?
I know it's not supposed to accept any sim but the vodafone uk, but what dose WiFi has to do with it?
is it locked too?

No... It's not supposed to be locked. The Wifi should work 24/7 in any country, try the (ESP) version of Vodafone sim, see if that works.
