The rumored September 10th Apple event is getting closer and we can almost be certain that we will be seeing at least two new iPhones; the iPhone 5S and the iPhone 5C. The iPhone 5C will be Apple's mid-ranged younger brother counterpart to the iPhone 5S. The device will be made out of similar polycarbonate plastic as the old iPhone 3GS and be offered at a lower price.

A new video from Taiwan's Apple Daily shows a scratch resistance test on the iPhone 5C, placing the rear shell in a plastic bag with keys and coins, then shaking it up. The video also show measurements of the device, which is only slightly taller and thicker than the iPhone 5. While the video is only available in 360p on YouTube, the website notes that the iPhone 5C shell rates 8H pencil hardness test. This rating is three times stronger than the standard film used on the iPhone display.
