Need Calendar Help

I noticed there is a birthday calendar in my list of calendars. I have it UNCHECKED because it is off by one day! It alerts me to birthdays one day early. However even tho it is UNCHECKED it is still showing in my Notification Center. How do i get rid of it?????

Screens: one shows birthdays OFF. The other shows the notification center. The tomorrow one is the correct one. The one labeled for today is from the turned off calendar!
