I need a way to intentionally warm up the battery of the iPhone. Any ideas?

Can think of only one legit reason anyone would need to heat up a battery. This should be an interesting discussion.

To get a new iPhone while it's still covered by the warranty so you don't have to replace the broken parts or cracks?

Oh, I see. In other words, deliberately wreck the phone. That's easy then. Dump it on the demister vents of your car, and go for a drive. The phone will be toast in a few miles (literally).

Not trying to be a killjoy, but should we be giving advice on how to destroy a phone to obtain a new one under false pretense? (If that's what's going on?)

Probably not. It's my guess that there are sensors built on to the phone in any case that will highlight this. I know this is so for water damage.

Actually the iPhone has a temp cutoff system that will protect it from overheating.

I know. I had a phone holder in my truck that held the phone in direct line of fire of the heater. First, and only, time I saw the warning message about overheating. I didn't make that mistake again.
