My 5s is just showing 4g but not lte

I live in Los Angeles and areas that I go should have lte but it's just showing 4g is that the same thing as lte or this is different

Skipping the technical stuff, they're basically the same. LTE will get better download speeds than 4G. 4G gets better speeds than 3G. LTE is still under construction in some areas. Thus 4G. Verizon claims the largest LTE coverage area.

It just depends on where you are in LA in different parts of town i get one or the other

Make sure lte is enabled in your cellular settings as well
