Mos Speedrun is an interesting 8-Bit platformer that will keep you wanting more. Even though it only includes 25 stages/levels, there are a few things you need to do before going on to the next world. Things like beating the level in a certain amount of time, collecting secret items, and collecting all the coins will gain you access. Mos is real simple to learn considering there are only 3 buttons you need to press. Left, Right, and jump should get you through the stage; jumping obstacles, dodging enemies, and even swimming. Don't worry, there aren't too many swimming levels like...erm... Super Mario Bros.(we all hate those). The game is $1.99 and universal so it should keep all of your iDevices happy.
