My Push notifications do not work for mail? Why is this? Both my brothers mail work on their iphone. I am using gmail for my mail service.

Try, Settings > Mail, Contacts... > Fetch New Data > Push = on
This will decrease battery life significantly. Better to chose Manually or hourly. Manually will check each time you open Mail. Also on that page, if you have multiple accounts, click ADVANCED and set each one individually..
