I just got a new Lifeproof case for my 4s. Now I have to type much harder. Is there a way to make screen more sensitive?

I'm afraid not. The built in screen protectors in some cases seem to have an insulating factor, decreasing the touch sensitivity of the screen. If you want to use that case, you'll have to get used to the decreased sensitivity.
