iTunes connection problem

While trying to back up my 4s and connecting it to the pc I get this message displayed:

This iPhone can not be used because the Apple Mobile Device service is not started.


Any ideas as to what the problem is?

you must reinstall the app in to the computer and it will give you an option and may be check you iphone profile is it on general some times these things does matters

Sometimes hard rebooting the device *while* it is connected to the computer with iTunes open does the trick.
