iTunes back up

Is there a way to delete the previous back ups of my old phones from iTunes? I have so many of them and only need one.

Yes sure I think it's the following forgive me if I get tab names wrong I'm not in front of my laptop atm...

Second tab at top of iTunes ---> go down to preferences ---> select devices & all you back ups will be listed along with dates/times.
