Is there a way to record a video with the camera application closed down/using another app same time

Hi,
I've been trying to find a way to do this for quite some time now and I decided to ask somewhere because I wasn't able to find a solution anywhere online. So my question is, is there a way to record a video using the iphone default camera or another camera app while using a different app on the iphone? I have the iPhone 6S and using iOS 10.2 at the moment for anyone wondering.
