Hi,
I've cobbled together two iPhone3's in the hope of creating one working iPod for my daughter. After completing the build the phone works great save for one thing. It will not boot (or just turn on) unless it's power cable is connected. The battery is fine which I tested by running it for a few hours but if I turn it off and try to turn it back on there is only the Apple logo. If I plug it in to the USB charger it will boot from the logo and return to normal operation. I can also turn it off then plug it in which allows it to just turn back on. I also completed a restore without success. Should I continue to restore it until this clears or do you think this might be a hardware issue?
