You download them from iTunes store.

Please believe me...not to sound insulting to you in any way, but if you don't understand the basic functions such as downloading apps, which is a "highlight" of the iphone, you might want to consider getting some instruction from an Apple tutorial online or an Apple store employee. If you are having trouble learning that basic concept, you will probably encounter issues/perks with your phone that you will never understand. You will never realize the true fun you can have with your phone! :)

One way to learn about your phone is You Tube. Search under iPhone and I bet you will find all sorts of tutorials!
I thought you meant yo manually put the apps in the left side by putting them in manually.

Sorry about that misunderstanding, I should have worded it differently. Once you download apps, they populate the sync page automatically.

But, that aside, you should "investigate" the iTunes Store and have some fun learning how to download apps. There are tons of free ones out there, no need to spend money if you don't want to! My favorite app, just for the heck of it, I don't use it much, it's just fun to look at....
iHandycarpenter! LOL! It has a ruler, plumb bob, protractor, level. :)

The most that I paid for an application is 6.99 for WunderRadio.

How about if I choose the option to SYNC apps. Once that is finished restore my iPad from the backup that was finished earlier tonight. Would that put the applications in the left hand side window?

Maybe I'm not following which "left hand side of the window" you're talking about. Are you in apps under your device, or are you trying to get the apps listed in your library?

To put apps in your "library".... in iTunes go to Edit>preferences>general and click the apps box. Then go back to the left side of iTunes and click under apps and they all should appear. You cannot sync from there though. However you can update them and delete them (right click to delete)

To populate them on the sync page, you would go under your device, then apps, then all you need to do is check the sync box. And then sync. They should show up without doing any restoring.

You could post a screen shot to be sure we're talking about the same thing! :)

Edit...I just saw in your last post you are talking about an iPad? I don't know about downloading apps on an iPad, I am assuming it's the same as an iPhone. I am guessing it's the same for iTunes.

Once I figured to transfer my apps this is all that I needed to do.
