Iphone new battery:: battery health message

Hi

I replaced my IPhone battery with a new battery (non Apple) and I see the following under battery status::

“Service
Important battery message:
This iPhone is unable to determine battery health. An apple authorized service provider can service the battery”

is this normal? Does it take time for my IPhone to calibrate the battery?

Your iPhone may not be able to determine the battery health or your non-Apple replacement battery. There could possibly be a battery health chip in a genuine Apple battery that your battery doesn’t have.
