After the removal of the mechanical Home button, Apple continues to eight six key features on the iPhone 7. As suspected, our favorite fruit company has removed the 3.55mm headphone jack at the bottom of the device.

Folks wanting to plug in headphones into the iPhone 7 models will need to use the Lightning port. Bad news is, there aren't too many headphones out there which are made specific for the Lightning port just yet. Good news is, the Lightning port will deliver stereo sound, contrary to analog sound with the 3.55mm we've been hearing for decades.

While we all thought that we would need to buy yet another adapter for our old headphones, Apple surprised its customers be revealing that a 3.5mm to Lightning adapter will be included with both iPhone 7 models. The old analog input actually took up a lot of space inside the iPhone, so this gives Apple room to make the next iPhone even thinner.

The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus will be available for pre-order on September 9, with shipping beginning September 16.

Apple is pleasing everyone, funny when you think back, oh l must have my headphone socket can't live without it.
Maybe a marketing ploy.
In the next iPhone because customers love the stereo sound of the Air Pods they might drop the 3.55 analog.
Who knows. Comments on the postcard only and abuse bitte
