The iPhone 6 and 6 Plus bendgate problem has seemed to calm down. Folks have gone back to their daily lives and have forgotten that at one time they believed it metal shouldn't bend.

According to Taiwan's Economic Daily News, the bendgate problem might not make its way into the future iPhone 6 and iPhone 6S Plus. The publication reports that Apple will be planning use its 7000 series aluminum for the next flagship iPhone models.

7000 series aluminum is the same alloy used in the Apple Watch Sport. As a device that is to be worn on wrists, Apple decided to create the stronger material to avoid dings and scratches.

According to Apple, 7000 series aluminum is up to 60 percent stronger than regular aluminum, leading to stronger and more durable iPhones in the future.
