iphone 5 will not activate

i had apple send me an iphone 5 and it WILL NOT activate. says sim card needs to be the correct one for the carrier. ive tried getting a new sim, restoring in itunes, activating thru itunes, activating thru the phone, activating thru wifi/cellular. nothing works. verizon cant activate it apple is baffled

That is a support link and since this is a new purchase they should be able to help you.

Phone was bad right out of box. Had it replaced. All good.
