iphone 5 stuck on 'WAITING FOR ACTIVATION"

my iphone 5 won't imessage,i have no "receive at" details in settings,does anyone know how to fix this?

I had a lot of problems at first also and kept a memo to myself in Evernote . For iMessage and FaceTime to work :

Date and Time must be ON

In Localisation ☞ Service settings☞ Time Zone must also be ON

I would turn these on , then switch iMessage off and then back on .

It worked for me ...

PS : IMessage and FaceTime seem to activate the same way , is your FT stuck too ?

i did the checks you mention,strange thing about FT,i cant sign in,when i enter my password i get the message....could not sign in.please check your network connection and try again.

Does iMessage work now ?
If it does then try turning FT off and back on again , like you did for IM

it's all working again now,did a complete restore,didn't take long,nothing else was working,thanks for your input

thanks the guy at Apple was puzzled that my send and receive details had all vanished,without them iMessage can't work of course,i saw on google where people had that activating message for weeks,maybe they had the same problem,i wasn't waiting weeks lol.
