Iphone 5 signal problem (not network(3g, lte)) the phone service signal

Everyone seems to be posting about a network signal problem (3g, LTE) but noone is addressing any issue with the actual cell phone service signal. Am i the only one that has noticed that the signal strength of the 5 is weaker than the 4s? I used to get 3-5 bars all the time, now im getting 0-2. Again i am not referring to 3g or LTE, im referring to the bar all the way in the top left corner. What is the problem?
