I am getting texts and voicemail that were sent/left days before and the phone is generally operating slower than when I first started using it last month. Does anyone have any suggestions as to why this may be happening?

With regards to the texts and voicemails, I think that you should try and ask your provider why this is happening. I don't see this to be a phone issue. In my case I get voicemail-reminders if I haven't listened to the messages on my voicemail.
Just a simple question to the fact that your phone seems to be operating slower. Do you shut down the applications that you are not using?

Hi Nicolev,
In order to check which apps are running in the background, you can "double-click" your home-button. In the bottom of your screen you will probably see a loooong list of programs - these are all your open programs. You can close these programs so that they don't run in the background. Hold your finger over one of the apps until the icons starts dancing
You can now shut them down (close them) by tapping the small "delete-icon" on each app icon. This will NOT delete the app, just close down the program running.Hope this helps.
I have an app running on my iPhone that tells me how much memory is used, this gives me an idea whether I should start shutting down the programs. The app is called SystemLite, and it's free.
