Hi guys is my battery still good??. I have an iPhone 4S.

It seems to be alright. All batteries lose capacity as they age and are re-charged multiple times.

Is this normal battery life for an iPhone 4S running iOS 6??

That depends on how you were using your phone for those 4 hours 58 minutes. How were you using your phone?

The battery is fine. After hitting about 400-450 full cycles, your max charge drops to 80% of the designed capacity, which is still great and shouldn't really affect your routine as much as you would think on paper. But again, batteries eventually die out and such, that much is inevitable, but your battery should probably last another year and a half or two at the very least because the capacity becomes unbearably low.

My first 4, I had the battery replaced after about 600 cycles or so when the bit of battery life difference at that point was basically the difference between having to worry about my charge mid day and not since I went ham on my phone back then.

Mainly having the screen on and a little bit of listening to music. Currently it's on 18 %

Thanks for the reply. I take it my battery is still healthy?? Look above

Once your max cap drops to about 1000 mAh, I'd recommend swapping out the battery.

Ok thanks. What's the average battery life I should be getting with a 4S in terms of usage stats? I got about 5 hours before I had to recharge

I'm running 6.0.1 as I've heard 6.1.3 is very battery draining so I'm hesitant to update.

The battery drain is unique to a device. My old 4S prior to a warranty replacement had insane battery life. The replacement one drained from the start, netting me about 2% per hour give or take on standby. Ultimately in terms of usage, if you can get a total of say an hour or so of web surfing/internet/game use alongside with about 3-4 hours of music, your battery is in pretty good shape around the 1100-1200 mAh capacity. Then again, you'll have other factors as well such as reception/signal strength while in standby or in use and such that also plays a role, so you really can't get a definitive "this is good" or "this is bad", unless we're talking about 30 minutes of use and your battery goes from 100 to zilch :p
