iPhone 4 Help me PLZ !!.. Thank you

Hi there, i have the iPhone 4, on software version 4.2, the issue i am having is that it only displays 1 signal bar, and no carrier information ...

Appreciate any help, and a big Thank you in advance to anyone who can help ..

Welcome,

Sounds like one of three things. You using a sim that the phone isn't locked to. You've got a faulty sim, or if you've cut one down to size it's not done quite right...

Ah right thanks for your reply, well, i feared that it may be locked, but it could also be the SIM card cut down thing as i have done this.

My main worry is that it could be barred, but then it is getting 1 Signal bar so i wasn't too sure.

It was purchased on ebay as a faulty product as in it didn't boot up.

I would get an official sim just to rule it out. If you've updated it since you've bought it to get it working again you would have lost any unlock...
